RUFF CUTS is the School of Media Studies' main screening event, where students and alumni show their films and receive real-time feedback. The event attracts professors, alumni, festival programmers, production houses and students across the university. We screen an average of 5 films on a first come, first served basis, followed by a social and industry-networking mixer.

FINE CUTS is the School of Media Studies' annual film awards show that spotlights completed student films. The winners are selected via a jury of film professionals, festival programmers, faculty, and alumni. A Q&A and a reception with the filmmakers follow the screening.
